My research interest lies in finding novel pharmacological approaches for rare neurodegenerative diseases such as Niemann Pick Type C and Sandhoff Disease by utilising extensive research tools ranging from in vivo studies to molecular biology techniques. Currently, I am investigating alternative pathologic targets in these diseases to synergise with known therapies.

Key Points:

  • Identify pathological abnormalities as a novel target for therapies
  • Investigation of neuroprotective agents in other lysosomal neurodegenerative diseases
  • Investigation of pharmacodynamics of pharmacological tools
