Professor Mallory Factor KCNG is the John C. West Professor (emeritus) at The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina. From 2014 to 2015, he served as a Senior Fellow for Policy at the Department of Politics and International Studies and Senior Visiting Mellon Fellow at the Department of History, both at the University of Cambridge (UK).
Professor Factor is the Founder and Chairman of IntraBio Inc., a biopharmaceutical company with a late-stage drug pipeline that includes novel treatments for genetic and neurodegenerative diseases. Professor Factor is a serial entrepreneur with broad experience in health care companies including pharmaceuticals, medical devices and oncology treatments. He has had an extensive career in both the public and private sectors, including as the Founder and President of Mallory Factor Inc., which advises and participates in private and public biotechnology, technology, and manufacturing companies.
Professor Factor has testified extensively before Congress as an expert witness on terror financing, regulation of the financial services industry and other economic issues. He chaired the Economic Roundtable for the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and led the 2009 Economic Summit for the U.S. House Republican Conference and Policy Committee in Washington DC. He served as a Senior Fellow for the Republican Policy Committee Chairman of the United States House of Representatives from 2007 to 2011, as a Senior Fellow on the United States Senate Foreign Relations Committee from 2013 to 2015, and as a member of the US Air Force's Air Mobility Command Civic Leader Group. He served as a Member of the Board of Governors of the New York State Banking Department, the Chairman of The New York Public Asset Fund, and a Member (Presidential Appointee) of the Federal Home Loan Bank, Savings and Loan Council. He is a Life Member of the Council on Foreign Relations and is a Member of The Royal Institute of International Affairs – Chatham House.
Professor Factor is a celebrated author of two New York Times best-selling books, has published dozens of articles, and is a frequent contributor to publications and media including The Wall Street Journal, Forbes Magazine, Sky News, FOXNews and the BBC. Professor Factor received his BA in Biochemistry from Wesleyan University and studied in the Joint Business and Law Program at Columbia University.
